The first days at Schaeffler

The first days of apprenticeship at Schaeffler are mainly used to familiarize with processes and the new working environment. In various activities, such as factory tours and a joint excursion to the Fun Forest climbing park in Jägersburg, the future junior staff and their instructors can get to know each other better. On September 10, the new trainees from all Schaeffler locations in Germany will be invited to Herzogenaurach for the company's headquarters to lay the foundations for a future network.

Qualification for tomorrow with training project 3D printer

Trends and topics such as e-mobility, Industry 4.0 and digitization are changing the products and organizational processes at Schaeffler. As part of the "Agenda 4 plus One" future program, there is the "Qualification for Tomorrow" initiative. At the Homburg location, too, the training of junior staff will be further developed. One building block is the project "Social skills in the training project 3D printer". To accompany their apprenticeship, Schaeffler's trainees build their own, individual 3D printer: from the manufacture of individual parts to assembly and commissioning, they learn the relationships between mechanics, electronics, software and hardware. The trainees have to deal with a variety of disciplines and skills and work closely with different professional groups at Schaeffler.
